Growing up with an unconventional parent who studied and made hobbies of photography and cinematography proved to be a creative boost in many areas of my life. During a photography class in 8th grade, too many years ago, I finally had a chance to dust off my Dad's sacred SLR and experiment with black and white photography in the darkroom. This is when I began to see photography as not simply a technical practice in documenting life experiences, but as an immensely creative expression. With a passion for exploring landscapes and cultures, and, more recently, in possession of more capable equipment, I have enjoyed capturing my perspective through these photographic tools.
